In Val d'Isère, four venues in all fit the definition of a “club”. First of all there is the mountain club La Folie Douce, part of the chain of the same name, famous for its good food and wild open-air parties from 15:00 to 17:00 with the obligatory dancing on tables. Dicks Tea Bar is also part of a chain and is probably the best known in the Alps, with a large dance floor and a wide choice of drinks besides its signature tea, from cheap beer to cocktails for millionaires. Doudounne is the newest club in Val d'Isère, and its popularity grows with every season. Well-known DJs are invited here, and it stays open until morning. Le Graal is the most stylish nightclub in Val d'Isère, opened in 2005 and popular with locals as much as with tourists. The club itself, like its guests, calls its parties “daring”. Why? See for yourself! The main musical event here is on Wednesdays: ELECTROGRAAL electronic music nights with DJ Tomba. Besides electronic music, guests are treated to decent (and huge!) burgers, cheap beer, an ultra-modern interior and dancing until they drop on a flashing floor, from which particularly tired guests are sometimes gathered up towards morning to be taken back to their hotels on a free bus. The club is in the very centre of Val d'Isère.
